Homemade Bath Salt that calms and relaxes

Whenever I think about bath salts I think of a good relaxing solo time. I love my weekly bath time and this homemade bath salt makes it more enjoyable. To keep it fresh and benefit from the amazing ingredients, I like to make a jar that lasts four weeks assuming that I use it only in my bath ones a week ( about four cups epsom or himalayan salt ). Every time I use it, I come out of my beth smelling and feeling amazing. I always make it as a gift for my friends and my kids teachers.

The main ingredients in this salt bath are

Himalayan Pink Salt: Soaking in a salt bath is an easy way to increase the body’s levels of both magnesium and sulfate which results in relaxing and calming the body. The magnesium helps to produce serotonin, a mood-elevating chemical within the brain that create a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Lavender Essential oil: The Ancient Greeks and Romans used lavender to perfume their baths. In addition to their amazing blossom, it has. so many benefits for the body and skin. The Egyptian queen Cleopatra sprinkled lavender into the floors of banquet halls and was well known for her bathing and beauty rituels which includes lavender in the bath and in facial masks.

German Chamomile Essential Oil: Chamomile is known as the queen of relaxation. When using in a bath it can ease skin irritations, soften your skin, and help you sleep soundly and peacefully through the night.

Purification Essential Oil: Purification does what sounds like. I like to add it in almost all my personal care DIY products

Almond oil: I bet you don’t usually see any oils in a bath salt. I used almond oil to help mix  all the ingredients  and infuse with each other. It also gives me a feel of softness.
